Throughout the curriculum students will receive a handout as they walk in the door, once or twice a week. This worksheet is their daily grade, and is referred to as the “Song Worksheet”.

Students will pick a song from the genre assigned and analyze a song of their choice. Students will listen and respond to the various songs, discussing dynamics, instrumentation, tempo, beat/pulse and general traits of the genre.

Students will turn in the worksheet at the end of the activity and receive a daily grade for their work.
